Flick Drummond was elected as the Meon Valley Constituency Member of Parliament in the General Election 2019.  She has lived locally for the last 33 years since her parents moved to Meonstoke.  She was a councillor in Winchester and was the MP for Portsmouth South between 2015-2017.  Flick’s husband, was born and brought up in Petersfield and they got married in Bishop’s Waltham. We are delighted that Flick was successful yesterday winning her seat with an impressive majority of 23,555!! We know that Flick will be an excellent representative for the Meon Valley constituency. Well done Flick.

Standing up for Rural Communities

Flick says, "Once we have got Brexit done, we will free our farmers from the bureaucratic Common Agricultural Policy and move on to a system based on public money for public goods.

Flick out and about in Denmead!

Flick was out and about catching up with resident's views in Denmead on Saturday. There were a lot of concerns about development and increased traffic on our roads.

Campaigning for better public transport

Public transport, in particular buses, are a vital link for people throughout Meon Valley. Recently Cllr Narinder Bains started a petition to improve buses in Cowplain to help vulnerable people.

Flick supporting Brexit

In 2016 Flick voted to remain in the EU but is first and foremost a democrat. She believes that Brexit must be delivered, as voted for by the British people. She says,

Flick was really pleased to meet Cowplain Men’s Shed members this morning. Men’s Sheds are brilliant for helping with the isolation that many men feel after they have retired and learn new skills to make a difference in the community.
